I cannot lock my IQ4-150

Postby Rogerxnz » Fri Jun 14, 2019 10:49 pm

I like the concept of the security feature on IQ4 backs but I have been unable to lock my back the way I want to.

I was hoping that, by setting security to "Lock System" and turning the back off, when the back was turned on, the security code would have to be entered before the back could be used.

I have tried various ways to achieve this but without success.

So, first, is what I want achievable? If so, how do I do it?

Next, possibly relevant questions:

—I expect I have to press the lock icon before I turn the back off each time. Is this correct or can I set the back so the lock applies each time I turn it off?

—I have tried pressing the lock icon before turning off the back. When I do so, the numeric keypad comes up. Am I supposed to enter my code then to set it or does entering the code disable the lock? Either way makes no difference—after I turn the back off and turn it back on it is not locked.

Help, please.

There is a P1 video which explains how to lock the back at the system level.
