FUJI LEICA USER

Postby NNN637069271782974522 » Thu Oct 17, 2019 3:49 pm

Warning folks - this could be a silly question!

I'm expecting to set up a trial 30 day session to explore Capture one following some enthusiastic recommendations from ex Lightroom users.

The Fuji version is of course interesting esp if it handles RAF file swell - which I read it does. (XE2s)
Where does that leave my Leica DNG's?

Is the C1 Fuji version my best choice or simply the standard non manufacturer specific Capture One Pro/12

Thanks
Don

Don,

The functionality, at core, is all the same although there are some additional features in the specialist versions for Studio (Professional studio users), Cultural Heritage and so on.

If you have the Full Pro licence all supported camera's RAW and equivalent files are editable. JPGS, etc, are all supported other than a few technical restrictions related to very small sizes or extremely large images

If you have the Fuji version the RAW support is restricted to to Supported Fuji models and support for Fuji Film styles is available for those Fuji bodies that Fuji agreed t support.

Likewise of you have the Sony version only Sony RAW files are supported.

If you have the DB version on Phase (family) Digital Backs are supported.

To support both of your camera types I think you would need the Full Pro specification - which is probably what most people use.

HTH.
