Canon Picture styles (Do they have an effect in RAw/C1 Pro

I am wondering if the picture Style settings in the 5D Mark 4 cameras effect the RAW files as they are brought into C1 Pro?

I would expect them not to. The raw file will just be what the sensor saw, unaffected by any picture style added to that in camera.

I agree with Ian3.

The only camera manufacturer that I am aware of working with Capture One to implement something like Styles available in camera is Fuji.

The Canon styles (and whatever was available before the "Styles" naming option was introduced) are applied to internally generated jpgs.

If you are using the jpg from a camera whatever the internal settings were when the shot were taken will have been applied to that image permanently.

Thanks guys. That is what I thought. When I look at the Canon software with the Raw file it seems as though those presets show up there though. So that is confusing.

I would expect that if any software could be expected to reflect the styles, it would be Canon's own. As Grant ("SFA") said, the arrangement with Fuji is an exception. Whether similar facilities will be implemented for other brands in the future, I don't know.
