Catalogs / Images.

Postby UCS308 » Wed Jan 30, 2019 4:17 am

I place my catalogs on an internal SSD and all my images a direct attached storage (Thunderbolt 3). I did this because I have many 1000's of images in catalogs and I often want to scroll through them.

I have noticed with C1 12 that when I page through the thumbnails that C1 seems to going out to the image drive for something? Since I am not loading any images, I am not changing the selected Image I am simply scrolling through my catalog what could it possibly want from the image drive and is there a way to stop it doing that.

You could disconnect the external drive.

I would imagine that it is simply preparing things to be ready for you should you decide to edit the image or view it at 100%.

Basically it is probably doing what an editor might be expected to do if it did not work in "modes" or "personas".
