Saving edited images back into a session

Postby jasonholtphoto » Mon Dec 10, 2018 11:43 pm

Hi. After shooting tethered into a session, I make selects then edit with Affinity Photo and save the file 'back' into the session. Affinity is configured to save back correctly (works fine when saving back into my catalogue) but after saving the file back into a session, it is not visible in the session. If I load a catalogue, then re-open the session, the PSD file is visible.
Has anyone experienced this and able to offer a solution? Thanks in advance.

Do you have the default session structure like this?

Session folder
>Capture
>Selects
>Output
>Trash

Where exactly is the file being saved back to?

Hi Ian,
Yes I do have the standard session folder structure.
The PSD files get saved back into the Capture folder.
They are only visible though after I close the session and re-open it.
Any thoughts?

WIndows seems to like being 'prompted' to refresh.

This is what you are in effect doing by closing the session.

I have found that opening a different folder and then returning to the required folder more often than not produces a refresh.

Oddly it is not always necessary.

I'm using WIndows 7 Pro.
