Shortcut to switch between (custom) workspaces

Postby NNN636480708794926510 » Thu Dec 07, 2017 2:25 pm

Hi,
how can I quickly switch between workspaces without the need to going through the Window > Workspaces menu?

Yes. In the main tool bar of the Capture One window, you have (or you can add) an icon called "Select a Workspace to apply", which looks like a C1 screen with tools and a portrait in the Viewer. Clicking on this icon opens a menu where all your workspaces are listed.

Lovely, thanks.
I've also learned that there's an icon to apply Styles directly.

Cheers!

That will only work if the icons are in the tool bar of all your work spaces you switch to (assuming that at some point you want to switch back again). It is also not really any less involving than using the menu.

You can shortcut workspaces (and styles) but you have to use the OS to do it. Styles is harder as the menus are duplicated in delete and apply. You can try these approaches to the customization:

I added the Workspace tool to my toolbar quite a while ago and far prefer having it there than going up to the menu every time. I have a couple of custom workspaces that I use often (Import/Cull, Edit with all tools on one monitor, and Edit with tools split across both monitors). The Workspace icon is placed directly above my tool palettes, so basically all the controls I commonly work with are positioned to be convenient to work with—without needing to search through menus.

The only thing I really don't like about the workspaces is that the one that's currently in use isn't highlighted. I filed a feature request for that a couple of years ago, thinking that it would be trivial to implement.
