Help with sub name

Postby NN636618724706972221UL » Wed May 16, 2018 3:47 am

I have a sub name specified in the file tab of a recipe but when the file is processed the output filename isn't suffixed with the contents of the field. Am I missing something here? The file processed was a tiff file.

You must (1) specify the subname, and then (2) in the output naming section of the process recipe use tokens to include in the output name both image name and subname. So if you have [Image name] [Subname] as your tokens you could have recipes for web with Web as the subname, for print with [Print] as the subname, and for general use no subname at all. So if your image name was DSC1234.NEF your JPG outputs from those three recipes would come out as DSC1234 Web.JPG, DSC1234 Print.JPG, and for the other one just plain DSC1234.JPG (because it only includes the subname if there is one).
