Performance improvement with ssd?

Postby Tom1411 » Wed Nov 07, 2012 2:26 am

I am running MBPro 15 2.66GHz i7, 8gb ram (max for this model) and was wondering if switching to as ssd drive would enhance CO performance noticeably. I know it is really taxing all four cores depending on operations but am wondering how much CO is throwing back and forth to the drive with proxies etc. Does anyone on here have any real world experience with this? TIA. Have been testing 7 and enjoy the new features but real work will have to stay on 6.x.x for now for stability.

This topic has been runnung on the CO6 forum a few times and the bottom line was always that CO will benefit greatly (as most applications) from an SSD.
