as I have a leaf aptus II 7, it would be interessting, if the new backs also support the leaf body (hy6)?

Hi

There is no current plan to make the Credo in a Hy6 fitting since this is a discontinued camera platform.
However you should know that we still make the AFI II 10 and 12, the later one is the same 80mp sensor as in Credo.

Leaf Credo for Hasselblad 205FCC ?

Postby NNN635013700626277591 » Fri Apr 12, 2013 12:38 pm

Hello,
I'd like to use a Credo on a Hasselblad 205 FCC.
Is this possible at all (e.g. using CF-lenses only)?
What I really want, Is to use it with F-lenses and the focal shutter of the FCC. Is this possible?
If it's not normally possible with the Credo-Hasselblad V-backs, why not? Is there any possibility to make it work?

Best regards,

Ralf

It will likely work in the same way that the Phase One back does;

Thank you, Drew.
This means: the the digital backs don't work with the focal shutter of a 200-series Hasselblad, which excludes the use of FE-lenses, because they don't have a central shutter.
What I can't understand is, why a Credo-back can't be used with the focal shutter, why this wouldn't work: Hasselblad's cfw-digital back works with the focal shutter, but I want to upgrade from this back to a full frame Credo back. So my question is: Why wouldn't this work? Is there any workaround to make it work?
Since I'm using nearly exclusively FE-lenses without central shutter, this decides, whether it makes sense for me to buy a Credo back or not.

Best regards,
Ralf

The body lacks the ability to give us the right signal at the right time.
Unfortunately there's no way to make this work. For the amount of 200 series user out there, it's not cost effective for us to redesign and rebuild the firmware to accommodate it. It would be much cheaper to simply pick up a 500 series body.

Thank you, Drew.
This is (for me) very disappointing, since the F-lenses, which are specifically for the 200- and 2000-series Hasselblad-bodies can't be used on the 500-bodies. :-(
But I understand, that there are not enough 200-users, who want full-size digital backs.

Hi

An alternative is to use the Phase One or Mamiya 645DF+
You can use all the F series lenses with this camera through the Hasselblad V lens adapter.
Another great advantage with this solution is that you can use the focus confirmation of the body.
