iQ260 battery problem

Postby fabrizio cicconi » Wed Mar 01, 2017 5:19 pm

Hallo,

I've an iQ 260 with PO DF+, My job is interiors shooting, and normally I use wi-fi connection with iPad.

The D back was repaired 2 years ago for sensor problems, it has almost 60.000 shot, last month the camera repaired the mirror. Now I've some problem with central shutter of the 80mm lens and I use only the body shutter.
But this is not the problem I tell only for to know the condition.

The real problem is that the DB uses a lot of battery more than time ago, the battery runs out quickly.
I've 4 batteries, and it don't change the problem. Above all the DB become very warm.

have I to open a support case?

If the battery runs out quickly and you feel a lot of heat, the back is probably in Zero Latency. Set Shutter Latency to Normal and behavior should improve. Do also note that batteries will have a decreasing lifespan as they get older. Therefore, if the batteries are a couple years old you may also benefit from new ones.
Kind Regards,
