Power Saving

Is there a way to turn of the IQ3 screen when shooting tethered? I'm looking to save power and since we are viewing the images on a computer screen there is no need for the IQ3 screen to be on wasting battery. Also is there a tested tethering cable that also runs power to the camera batteries? Thanks! Jake

There isn't a way to completely turn off the screen, but you can turn the brightness down to 1% (Menu > IQ Settings > Brightness). The Phase One-issued USB3 cable will charge the battery, however it's not ideal to charge and send data over USB3 as it will degrade the signal. Using FireWire to charge the battery and USB3 to transfer data is a solid solution, as detailed here: https://www.phaseone.com/en/Search/Article.aspx?articleid=1842&languageid=1
