USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter with iXA180

Postby NNN635938378088797420 » Thu Mar 17, 2016 7:11 pm

I am trying to connect to an iXA180 with USB 3.0 but using two USB3.0 to Ethernet adapters, one at the PC and a second at the camera with Cat-5 in between. Does anyone have any experience with this? I got two GWC Super Speed USB 3.0 adaptors but what I didn't realize is that I had to install driver software on my PC for it to work and obviously I can't install the same driver software on the camera. Is anyone aware of any adapters like this that work with these cameras?

The reasoning for this is I have a remote sensor that I want to just run a single Ethernet cable too. There will be a Ethernet switch and a few other Ethernet devices in the remote sensor module I will still need Ethernet even if I used USB 3.0 range extenders like those provided by corning.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.
