I have the same problem, Phase One can die after heavy use. I've always told the client the truth, the shots on the Phase One are going to be better but sometimes there's problems and their work may be done on a canon. I don't announce it like it's the end of the world, more like it's a bonus, I'm a thorough guy who's brought all this back up equipment. I've never had anyone complain when I've used the canon, it's more me, it's just that I know the client would be happier if they were seeing Phase One images. My attitude is things will always go wrong sometimes but get on with it and impress them with with what a great job you can do even on backup equipment.
