Splash Screen / CF card issues

Postby NN634790866842656999UL » Wed Oct 09, 2013 4:22 pm

I'm a photography assistant, and at the main studio I work at we're having some trouble setting the splash screen on an iq160. This isn't the most urgent of problems, but annoying nonetheless.

Followed the instructions to a T, but whenever I hit "load from CF" on the back it hangs for a second and and then says it can't read the card, error #220. The card was previously formatted by the iq160, file type and size is all good, named properly, not in a subfolder. After the error screen it then says "successfully created new splash screen!" or something to that effect, but the splash screen is just a bunch of noise, like a corrupted file. If I then try and read the card again it goes right to the screen "valid file not found".

Tried with multiple cards, tested the cards themselves, double checked the image... I'm stumped.

Please submit a support case and send us the file you are tying to upload to the back.

Hey Jon.

Chris Sheehan here. I'm having the same problem listed here. IQ160 formatted card with splash.tif file of 800x480 on it, not sub folder. Screen says updated successfully, yet we get a random, noise pattern splash page. Thoughts?

Follow up. I reserved image as a windows format bmp, and it loaded fine. Thanks anyway.
