Supported CF Cards not working in Aptus 22

Here are the cards I have tried as per KB 2246:
- Sandisk Extreme Pro UDMA6 16GB
- Pretec 8GB
- Kingston 266x 32GB

I have formatted them in Windows using FAT32, Quick Format unchecked, named LEAF-CF.
When the card is inserted after formatting and the back is turned on, there is a message at the bottom saying "insert a storage card". Nothing appears in the quick format menu option in the setup menu of the back.
I am at my wits' end with this; please advise.

For posterity and anyone encountering this problem: I have messaged support and they have said that it is an issue with the back itself when the supported cards are used and formatted correctly.

Formatting the cards correctly makes no difference. My Aptus 22 will not even tether, even though it powers up using firewire, Leaf Capture cannot see it.

Does anyone know where you can get the latest firmware for the Aptus 22? Cannot seem to find it anywhere.

I'm has same problem (with Aptus 17) and simply interested, are you bought Aptus 22 from KEH (as is, for parts)?
