Mountain Lion

Hello,

I am considering buying a new apple and I am wondering if anyone has experience working with Expression Media and Mountain Lion.

Thanks

Sigi,
Just as an FYI, Expression Media is discontinued and not supported on 10.8.
I too would like others to chime in regarding any issues they may have but unless 10.8 is essential for you, I would recommend against it, especially if the software is a priority over the features of the OS.

Media Pro has been signature signed for the Mountain Lion OS, so an upgrade is an option.

Not sure the exact limits, but if you do a slide show in a catalog set, when you come out of the slide show, you're no longer within the catalog set.

Of course, this means if you are building the catalog set and delete an item, you actually delete it from the catalog, not the set! Big issue. Show stopper?

Now i need to start looking at media Pro and whether it is actually yet up to snuff.

Not sure but you can search it in official site of apple. That will help you to get more information.

Problem when I drag a folder of catalog sets onto another folder instead of aiming to drop between/below where I want it to go.

I can't access the dropped folder. It still exists and shows up in catalog sets in the various view modes, it's just not visible in the catalog set window.

I've not tried to fix this; I just go back to previously saved and do it correctly. DANGEROUS BUG?

Is it a potentially corrupt catalog? 1.3 GB, 76000+ items. Years old.

Again, as Expression Media is not supported on Mountain Lion, this cannot be considered a "Bug". If anything it would be considered an incompatibility issue.

Thanks Drew. I know that EM is 'obsolete', but until I feel confident to switch I'm content. Just letting others in the same boat know what I found.

Also, since it's essentially likely the same code base, it's a heads up for you guys to ensude the same behaviour isn't in media pro.
