Film back on 645DF

Postby robin2 » Mon Nov 02, 2009 8:45 pm

Will it still be possible to use Film on the DF camera
If so will it use standard Mamiya 645 backs ?

Thanks

Film backs are not supported on the DF (only 645AF). We could not continue to support film backs and still make the communication and timing performance increases for use with digital backs.

Is the problem that the electronics in the film backs are too slow?
Why not just make a film back that will work with the new electronics?

Maybe not enough market for a new film back......

You mean support the existing film backs. A new film back with updated electronics could be made.
Probably to expensive to develop for the dwindling film market.

Anyone got an AFD III for sale???
