Leaving a digital back attached to a DF Body

Postby NNN636453472858445047 » Sat Apr 06, 2019 10:46 am

Hi I have been using an IQ140 body on a Phase one DF and I normally leave the lens and back attached to the body, and wondered if this is good practice or whether you should take the back off the body after use, as when you attach the body the shutter goes down.
Mainly because my shutter went on my DF so have another one now.

Hi Gary,
It's a good idea to leave it on if the camera will be staying stationary, primarily to cut down on the sensor being exposed to dust. If you're shipping it or moving it around, disassembling it will ensure no undue pressure on the contact points.
