Postby NNN635934946108963955 » Fri Mar 23, 2018 10:54 am

Hello,

Does any body has some experience with the Hartblei 45mm f3.5 TS Superrotator and the New Version from Phase One / Hartblei?

Im considering buying one for my architecture photography because my 50mm from Mamiya is just a little to tight.

can some one share there experience with these lenses? thanks

I don't own it myself, but from what I've heard those lenses were pretty bad in general and the "new version" was just a rebadge of the Superrotator.
If you want to go wide with movements and have a good image quality I'd suggest you take a look at technical cameras.

Old thread here, but I'll give an answer for posterity.

I have an original build Hartblei Super-Rotator 45mm f/3.5 in Pentacon Six mount, adapted to Mamiya 645. Ten years ago or more I had the fore-runner of that lens, the original Hartblei 45mm f/3.5 TS-PC MC lens. They're based on the Mir-26 Arsenal-factory glass. The lenses optics are a good match for any of the Mamiya glass out there, and the build quality of the lens barrels is superb. If you want a TS lens for 6x6 or 645, there's really no other competition anyway, but you need not fear image quality issues with the Super-Rotators, if you can find one.
