Just got my first ever Phase One with IQ250 but have some ?

I am so excited. i feel like part of an exclusive club. Now I have some questions.

I got the V Grip, does that make the RECHARGEABLE LI-ION BATTERY for 645DF+ useless? i put a standard battery in it and a standard battery in the back.

obviously adding the V Grip makes the body very big and it no longer fits into my Pelican 1510 case. Any recommendations?

I just got my new Phase One IQ250 system this week. I also have the grip, I am just using two of the 7.2v/li-ion batteries. One in the 250 back and one in the grip.

As far as the case I found that if I placed the body, with out lens on face down in the case with the eyepiece in the up position I could close the case. It does not allow for putting any kind of laptop in though.

One of my learning curves is getting used to the auto focus. Compared to the Canon systems with so many focus points, I am not always getting my eyes sharp as I focus and recompose. Right now I am thinking I may be doing more manual focus like the old film days. When I look on line of people shooting, they just keep shooting an say everything is great, I wonder how really sharp the eyes are?

The system is really pretty incredible though.

The V-Grip was an excellent alternative battery solution for the DF/DF+ camera body prior to the Li-Ion Battery Pack. It allowed for twice the battery power and had the added benefit of not requiring a separate battery or charger as you can use the same as the back.
With the Li-Ion battery now, you get longer battery life as the pack is optimized for the camera and purpose built. However you now need to use a different Battery pack and charger. This certainly doesn't make one OBSOLETE but instead simply gives you the option for better battery life depending on what you need.
