IQ tethering with DF-live view

Postby Satyajit » Sat Aug 11, 2012 8:22 am

I am presently shooting with a rather inconvenient setup.
The subject is a bike and I have set my DF 15ft above the ground straight above the bike.
The angle is top angle.
The camera and laptop(tethered) have been set up near the ceiling of the studio an I can't access both for the actual exposure.
I am using screen sharing on a mac and controlling the laptop through another laptop.

My question is this:

How do I initiate live view from my laptop without having to touch the camera?
I need to do this to view my lighting as it happens.

Do let me know if this is possible.

Live view no, not without first activating the live view and then locking up the mirror.

Capture pilot with camera controls might be the solution though - you can shoot and preview images, while walking around the subject hands free and adjusting lighting (assuming it is lighting you are wanting to adjust and not focus?)
