645DF shutter issue

Postby Scott Mitchell » Thu Mar 23, 2017 8:11 pm

Hey Everyone,

Been a while since I've posted because I haven't been experiencing any issues up until yesterday.

A brief description of my problem:

Camera set in all manual modes no changes in lighting conditions yet the capture shows inconsistent exposures. Example is it will go from a correct exposure to an under exposed shot then to an over exposed shot all with the same settings.

First I thought it was a shutter problem, but when I switch from LS to FS the problem is the same. Did some tests at faster and slower shutter speeds and am still experiencing the same problem.

Thanks to Bob Wilde at Samys camera for loaning me a body while ours is in for repair.

Tests done with loaner body and problem is gone.

This tells me the issue is in the body and not the back or the lens.

Would still appreciate any feedback, and how to avoid this issue in the future.

Thanks,
Scott

Isn't AutoBracketing switched on?

Could it be the leaf shutter in the 80mm lens??
