Aptus II & Sandisk Extreme Pro UDMA7 - 160MB/s

Decided to play the guinea pig with the 32GB version... Unfortunately the back fails to boot correctly most of the time (black screen, orange blinking). However it seems to work if the card is inserted after the back has already been turned on.
YMMV

Was the card formatted as a single volume FAT32 on a Mac/ PC?

Yep, formatted on a Mac as per the instructions detailed in the Aptus manual. I even ran a test for bad blocks, to be sure the card was not faulty.

Please note I didn't mean to complain since the card is not listed as a recommended one for the Aptus II, just thought I'd share my experience.

Hi Frederic and thank you for the feedback, it would be useful if you could create a support case so that we can look further into it and see if these new cards can be supported or not.

thanks

Ok so it seems that version is not compatible with the Aptus II

Problem is the recommended CF lists says "Extreme" and "Extreme Pro" are compatible, and as of today there are different versions with those names (thanks Sandisk!) :

extreme :
- 60MB/s, UDMA (which do work, I have one of those)
- 120MB/s, UDMA7 ?

extreme pro
- 90MB/s, UDMA6 ?
- 160MB/s, UDMA7 : doesn't work according to the support and my limited experience

So which ones actually work is not clear a this point...

Yair, can you confirm the supported Extreme Pro version is that 90MB/s - UDMA6 one ? Thanks.

I use ScanDisc Extreme Pro UDMA 6, 90MB/s (32GB & 64GB) on my Aptus II 12, I never had any problems at all.
