P30+ on new Macbook

Hi there,

I have a P30+ and a new Macbook Pro with Thunderbolt 4/ USB-C ports on it. I'm using a firewire > TH2 adapter into a TH2 > TH4 adapter into my laptop. The P30+ sometimes takes a long time to appear in C1 and it often involves unplugging and replugging in the cables to make it come up in the program. Once it does appear, it seems to be very stable.

Does anyone have any tips on making the back appear in C1 more reliably?

I know the Phase One knowledge base recommends using a powered hub, but the one is links to is long discontinued.

Unfortunately the Belkin and OWC hubs are the only reliable solution to firewire on the Macs with only Thunderbolt 3 ports (note that firewire will not work at all on Mac OS 11). My suggestion would be to explore the used marketplace.
