P25 to P45, Will I See A Quality Gain?

Postby Gary32 » Thu Mar 16, 2006 4:32 pm

I use a P25 on a Linhof M679 movement camera with Rodenstock Apo-Sironar Digital lenses (which are rated down to a 9 micron pixel grid), and I also use the P25 on Hasselblad V series cameras with the 30mm, 38mm, 60mm, 100mm, and 180mm lenses.

I can't upgrade my Rodenstock lenses to the Digital HR series (rated down to a 5 micron pixel grid) because they don't offer large enough image circles for the movements I need. And some of my Hasselblad lenses have designs that stretch back fifty years or more!

Would I see any practical improvement if I changed from a P25 to a P45, or am I now \"lens constrained\" as far as resolution is concerned?
