ExpressCard USB 3 Adapter

Postby NNN634951865848488091 » Wed Feb 20, 2013 1:20 am

Hey, I am about to go on a shoot using a Nikon D800. Those tether via usb 3, however I have a 2 year old Macbook Pro and it only has usb 2. Does anyone know if the Nikon will tether using a ExpressCard USB 3 Adapter? I won't have the camera until the day of the shoot...
Cheers!

You can use the USB 2 connection.

I just wanted to take advantage of the higher transfer speed. Does your answer imply the adapter won't work?

No, I do not have knowledge nor experience with the suggested combo of camera and adapter. Just suggesting a fall back scenario.

You could do a search here or in the CO7/Mac forum as this has been discussed extensively in the recent past, IIRC.
