In my built of Argyll / colprof, the -y switch turns on diagnostic information in case something went wrong with interpreting the information contained within the .ti3 file. It’s like -v (verbose), but only for errors.

Depending on your built of colprof, perhaps even what OS you’re on, this flag might not work. In this case, just leave it out.
