Postby erikhoffman » Tue Jan 18, 2005 3:08 am

Surprise to see so much noise on P25 with 200 ASA and longer (1/4 and f8)shutter for indoor shoot in the Landmark Hotel in London
Fine with a couple of monoblocks but very dissapionted to see this sort of result on this unit
Can anyone tell me if I should expect this or am i doing something wrong

thanks

The noise should be some what equivalent to film grain on 200 ISO.
It does not produce digitally enhanced and pushed light which some some 35mm cameras do. IMHO this is what I would clearly prefer, and what some photographers has waited for to go 100% digital.

Hi Ulf
i would like to show you the pics on the same night with similar settings
I think that where i went wrong is that the grainy photos were taken against the light but with the same setting with the light behind is fine

is this normal

let me know
