P45+ back not connecting

P45+ back not connecting

I am running a windows 10 machine and when the P45+ is connected, Capture 1 doesn't "see " the camera. I can go to device manager and see the Phase P45+ under "Imaging devices" and by loading a legacy driver I have removed the caution "yellow triangle" from the device. Even though the PC knows its has the P45+ connected to it, Capture 1 isn't connecting. What can I do to solve this? Thanks!

For Windows 10, you must be on Windows 10 build 1809 or easier for firewire to work properly. More recent builds have a bug in firewire handling that prevents them from communicating with Capture One.

Thanks Jon. I built a new Windows environment around 1809 and sure enough, after forcing loading of unsigned drivers, I am able to connect again. Many thanks. I wonder if Microsoft will address the bug and get us back to a more stable environment (having to prevent updates beyond 1809) ??
