lost fuji ICC profile

Postby NNN636737508079119997 » Sat Feb 23, 2019 2:32 pm

I purchased Capture One yesterday. Under Base Characteristics I upgraded the engine from 11 to 12. All of my Fuji options disappeared. I can not roll back now. How do I get my Fuji color profiles back? I have reinstalled in a different directory but this did not work.

TIA

They should be in Base Characteristics
ICC Profile should be set to your Fuji Camera, the curves should be under Curve. Note the new film simulation curves can only be used with newer Fuji Cameras (XPro-2 and later, XPro-1 for instance is not covered and uses the old curves.)

Thank you for your reply. I did originally have the profiles there but I clicked a button that up graded the base engine from 11 to 12 and gave me a warning I could not roll back. I upgraded and it won’t recognize my Fuji curve profiles now. I might have to reinstall Windows.

Your own profiles or the Official Fuji Film curves?

Which version of 11 were you running?

There are two components of the upgrade.

Firstly the Catalogue or Session database and supporting files to accommodate differences for the new version. C1 will keep a back up copy of your previous version session or catalogue when those components are upgraded.

Secondly for each image the processing engine can be updated (optional but has to be applied in some way to use new features.)

If you wish to keep an old version of the image AND have a new version to be able to compare you can create a cloned variant and then update the processing engine for just that variant from (in your case) 11 to 12.

The Fuji Film emulation curves are handled in a very specific way for Fuji that is different to the previous approach used for other cameras. You should be seeing (for Fuji Files - try some new files and edits if you have not already done so) the film emulations as Curves (not ICC profiles) in the Base Characteristics tool.
