P65+ service

Has anyone had their P65+ serviced? If so, how much did it cost -- an arm and a leg or just an arm?!

Costs vary depending on the severity of the issue and parts needed for repair. If it's in need of repair, the best way to get an estimate would be through your Phase One partner. If you' re not working with a partner yet, you can find the nearest via this page:

Okay, so to just LOOK at my P65+ cost me £535 (exc VAT) and the repair will cost £1,785 (exc VAT). That makes a VAT inclusive (20%) repair bill of £2,784!!

I guess it was almost a given that it would require a 'full service' as who can challenge such an assessment?!

*sigh*

It's still away being worked on but as it didn't turn on I'm guessing that it needs a motherboard change(?). The screen and sensor glass were in perfect condition.

well that would explain it - they replaced my glass and make a regular maintenance and swapped out the firewire connector and it amounted to something like 1.500 € - 1.000 € for the glass replacement and 500 for the standard maintenance.

So, my P65+ had:-

A new power board
New internal connectors
A new CF board

I don't think there's a P65+ out there that's in as tip-top condition as mine. Great job, Phase One! :P
