What help is the video card in photo editing?

In using Capture One 12 Pro for FujiFilm cameras in raw, how big of an impact does the video card have in speeding up rendering of images when editing. Would love some recommendations!
Thanks,
Larry

Is the benchmark score lower the better or the opposite?

The Intel HD Graphics 4000 score was the highest. Is it the best or the worst?

Computer model = Mac Mini 2012
Benchmark score = 21.785360
GPU model = Intel HD Graphics 4000
GPU driver version = 1.2
CPU model = Intel i7-3615QM @ 2.30 GHz
OS version = macOS Sierra 10.12.6
C1 version = 10.2.1

The benchmark score needs to be as low as possible. I suspect a score of 21 would mean it would be ignored if the processor is powerful enough to make the GPU use pointless.

.0xxxxxxxx or lower becomes very meaningful.

On my windows system with an old Quadro mobile GPU the score is usually about 3 or a little less. At 3 the decision to make use of it or ignore it seems to be marginal.

I assume the reference points are the same for Mac and Windows - more or less.

HTH.
