Fuji hot-pixels not cleaning up.

Postby gusferlizi » Sun Feb 03, 2019 9:59 pm

Hi guys,

I've just come to try V12 and it seems that "Single Pixel" NR is not picking up my XT-2's hot-pixels. Going back to V11.3 actually has the same effect - no removal of the several dreaded "+" shaped bright dots.

Anyone else noticed such thing?

Cheers

I don't have any first-hand experience, but I'm sure the Phase One support department will be very happy to get one of your RAW files with the issue! :)

Sure. Will drop a few.

It seems specific to the + shape (5 bright pixels with a hot centre pixel). All literal "single" pixels get canceled out quite well.

I assume you already tried pixel mapping to remove them in-camera, right?

Yes, but new ones show up here and there, and unless I'm pixel peeping every day I don't notice until I shot something good.

This X-Trans hot-pixel quirk seems quite random and complex...
