New masking features seem nice if not world-shattering. New styles, meh.

Not really nice that upgrade price, it's not a good sign, gonna have to get into Lightroom or others
pretty soon, this is not 'popular' at all with long time customers.

Hi James.

What is the price increase about? Cloud space?
We all go to Photoshop anyway...
Did the focus (sharpening) improved, it's one of the useless features
and a bit important, don you think?

Best,

I have already upgraded from CO10 to CO11 in June this year, am I entitled to a free upgrade to CO12 now that it supports Mac OS Mojave?
Thanks

The grace period ran from 1 Nov. 2018, so it is a no for you, I am afraid.

I purchased my CO11 on 25th Oct. 2018, so i have basically wasted my money.

I am sure you had a good reason to purchase CO11 on that date. You wanted it. You needed it, or liked it. Now you use it. Nothing is wasted. There will probably a new release in your future.

I think we are to much distracted by the release schedule of products. If Capture One is important to you, you will quickly learn its schedule and take advantage of it. CO12 consists for 90% of CO11. Take advantage of what you got.

Are the style packs from Capture One 11 transferrable to 12?

Anyone experimented with plugins with C1 yet?

Have spent 3 months moving from Lightroom to Cap One 11. Tough journey but worthwhile.
A version 12 upgrade - oh yes please.
£150 plus - I don't think so !!
Phase One are surely taking the piss.
I ditched Lightroom because their upgrade path required a subscription and as a pensioner I cannot justify that.
There are lots of little things wrong with CO11 which I would have expected to have been fixed and offered as a free upgrade... and some new features; well that would be nice too, but at this price ?
Come on guys this is an upgrade - I have already invested in the program

Make your point in a Support Case aimed and the Sales and Marketing team at Phase.

This is, fundamentally, a User to User forum.

It may be worth pointing out that although you may not need it the costs, one way or another, also include a free personal Technical Support service whenever you may need it.

Some people may get more value from that than others, but it is there for all.

Mac users also tend get more for their money than Windows users with Applescript support, some other Apple oriented software and, more recently, 2 of the first 3 Plug-ins being Mac only.

I just thought I would mention it in case you were unaware.

And of course you don't have to upgrade.

Hi,
Will there be some kind of announcement when a6400 support is out?

How come Sony breaks its file formats like that? Is it really that much of a difference?
Isn't incremental support possible (without whatever weird stuff Sony has added since a6500..)?

Thanks!

Due to the strategic collaboration with both Sony and Fujifilm, you can expect relatively quick support for new models.

Don't get me wrong, that is good news but.. that strategic collab sounds pretty awful considering their camera has been shipping for >1 week, and Lightroom has support whereas CO does not.
I would assume a strategic collab would mean the that you guys have the file format ready before launch, not after?

Then again, my only comparable knowledge is Apple development.
Maybe Sony is just awful to work with.

Don't wanna be negative, thanks for a good product anyways.
Hoping for swift a6400 support.

The problem is not the file format, but the fact that Phase One's process is to get hold of a production unit and create a color-profile for it. It can take time.

So much for strategic collaboration, eh :)

Still no a6400 support. Please, you're forcing me into Adobe's arms.

I don't care about a carefully thought out camera color profile, it's the same sensor as a6300 and a6500. Just let me open the damn ARW files :)
