This should be a free update update; or a nominal charge for existing users. The reason I considered moving from LR was the CC annual charge. This is unacceptable.

You’re not expected to pay $417. You’re probably looking at the upgrade including all styles or something like that, or not referring to US$. I paid US$134: $149 upgrade price minus 10% discount code,

Besides, you can skip a version, or even all future versions if C1 v11 works nicely for you and you don’t plan to upgrade your OS or cameras. Skipping a version will up the upgrade price but you will end up with lower average yearly costs.

BTW, I skipped version 11 and my upgrade price is $169.00 not $149.00. I remember when all upgrades were $99.00 for the past 4 versions.

Looking for the percentage off codes.... :?

I tried to update from version 10 to 12 but when the window opens with the price it says update from 11 to 12.
maybe the wrong text but if not I have a problem. Send the question to support.

I need a fast answer. Maybe anybody can help.

If you need to use it before you have got an answer, there is nothing to stop you using it in the 30-day trial until you have the answer you need. It is fully functional.

Are you logged in to your account and using the Upgrade tool?

If so it sounds like the system believes you already have V11 rights even if you are not using that version.

When did you get V10?

But in any case the usual policy is that the cost is the same for up to 2 versions back. As far as I know this update follows the same policy.

I've got V10 since end of january 2017 so it's really strange.
So I think I'll give it a try to purchase the upgrade. If there are any problems I'll let the support know, again.

In that case maybe it is just a case of not mentioning V10 but it doesn't matter because the deal is the same.

A lot of folks are complaining about the price... Remember that a price should "clear the market" - but remain competitive. Only Phase One can say if the price is right as only they know what demand is. I take about 8000 frames a year so for me (Sony Pro User), its less than 1€ for 36 shots (remember what film used to cost ?). I'll go for v12, but will wait a few weeks for all bugs to be fixed...

Keep in mind that going back to version 11 is not simple.

Normally I run the new version and the old version side by side for a few weeks; this year I discovered that my Version 11 license is automatically deactivated when I activated Version 12.

Mine was deactivated by the beta installation.

However it has reactivated successfully.

That said, so far I have not installed the full V12 release, only the final beta release, on this machine.

I had the same issue and checked with technical support. The old license key replaced by the latest update's license key; you only have one update license key and it works on previous version updates. So when you update to version 12, you can activate version 11 with that same key. Full versions, as opposed to updates, retain their original license keys.

Amazing, what about giving Mojave support on 11 when you had the chance as Mojave was release months before CO12, and don't push our arms to buy an upgrade each year?
