True there is not a lot of features with wide appeal (mostly new cameras and a Fuji Express and Pro version) but there are a handful of bug fixes (find the release notes link and look at the bug fix list on page 7):

And again no new attractive features for existing users. Hope there will be a 11.4 before 12.0. As a buing user per version I have a little bit stomache.

I think it is quite clear that this release is almost all about the Fuji connection. In that respect there is no real reason to expect any significant changes for anything other then Fuji devices.

Let’s face it: if significant features are offered to users as part of minor updates, the whole idea of keeping users on a de-facto subscription collapses.

Whether we like it or not, whether we realize or not, Adobe is not the only one forcing users into a subscription. We are all paying one, in the sense we find ourselves spending x amount of money every year on post-processing software.

No, there where always good new features in .2 or .3 updates. In Version 9 and 10.

So last update was just for heritage, this just for Fuji Users. Many known issues and no fixes, especially in the Win-Version.

Indeed.

The entire concept of "Cloud" computing is based on payments for services and even long time basics options like MS Office are forcing people into a subscription model for even the most basic functions with perhaps 99% of functionality being "enhanced" as part of the deal being of no interest at all to the majority of users. However, if you want the integration of a reasonably reliable email service for business purposes and some potential for sensible collaboration in a business oriented environment then there are few no cost alternatives that can be guaranteed to keep up to date and maintain compatibility with almost no system management required for maintenance activities.

It is also clear that people are quite ready to "rent" their lives these days and for business purposes that has almost always been the case - just a matter of weather a Bank or the product vendors make the most profit. And whether the service or activity is still available if one decides to cut costs by not upgrading endlessly if one does not need to do so.

I like the options the Phase offers in that respect. I can choose when and if I wish to upgrade. I expect to help with finding the continued availability of any software if I am still using it. I figure the upgrade costs (or subscription) are not so big in the overall scheme of things. I have a lot of other software that I have bought over the years - often when on a special offer, and used only once or twice or simply bought it because it looked interesting at the time but turned out to be less useful than I thought it would be.

The problem with the often excellent free software options from small developers is that one can never be entirely sure what will happen to them in the future - but then that can also be true for major applications from the big developers as we have seen in recent years. Specialist independents like Phase should be supported wherever possible in my opinion. So long as the facilities offered suit one's needs without becoming bloated with features and functions for which one is unlikely to have a use and/or the associated costs do not become more than can be rationally justified.

They still haven't fixed the issue with the Wacom tablets. My god.

And no,it's not Wacom, I'm able to use is perfectly fine in Photoshop without any issues when it bugs out in C1.

Seriously, it's been years. Fix it.

Strange. I can see my CR3 files fine. There is even an M50 profile...

I read somewhere that CR3 is now supported you can open them in Capture One but not official as it is not finished.
I'm so tempted to get the subscription for Capture One but I'm wondering what's going to be wrong with the CR3 editing.

You could trial it for 30 days to find out.

My demo ran out before the update. I Just subed 3 months of Capture One.

EOS M50 CR3 RAW is supported but there are some things that don't work one of them being white balance it just turns the photo green at any setting. It's great though for getting better results than using Canon DPP and Affinity Photo combined when it comes to sharpening, colour, saturation exposure. After 3 months are up I'll buy it out.
