Import with Specific File Name

Postby NN636091612233607064UL » Sat Dec 09, 2017 5:01 am

I am migrating from Aperture to Capture One, and have loaded 25k+ Referenced Files successfully in the same directory structure as I used in Aperture.

When I add a few files (eg US_MN17_ 075.RAW) to an existing US_MN17_ folder in Referenced Files, and import them to C1 using Format as [Image Name], I get a file such as US_MN17_075 2.RAW. Nothing in Batch Rename allows removal of the {space}2 to get back to US_MN17_ 075.RAW. Almost all other Format options result in filenames with names starting with EmptyImage.

Isn't there a way to continue the 3-digit file number system, starting the next import with the next 3-digit number, as there was in Aperture? One option would be to delete the whole folder and re-import, but that sounds unnecessarily convoluted.

Has this been corrected by Capture One 11 Pro?

Success! Don't know why it took me an unsuccessful two hours before, but this time I pulled it off without a hitch.

No problem now!
