export version as jpg with a gray layer/shimmer

Postby nepi » Mon May 01, 2017 1:44 pm

I managed to improve my Capture One skills with tutorials, webinarys and lots of talking with my friend but since CO 9.x, there is like a "gray layer" over the picture when I export them as jpeg. I did some exporting with jpg xr, which was as I expected (full colors, no layer), but jpgxr is not yet readable by every software.

my settings for export a version is:

format: jpg
quality: 100
ICC-profile: camera profile
resolution: 500 (my change from 300 did not improve the result)
scale: fix 100%

When exported, I can open them on my computer without a gray layer, but sending it to my phone, there is this gray layer back on the picture.

How can I avoid this?

My best bet is that the camera profile in your output is the culprit. That is not meant for viewing on phones. Change to sRGB.
