XF Update and Focus Stacking Mode

Is there any way to trigger the focus stacking mode remotely? Eg from the computer after I have set the near/far focus points?

This would be really helpful so I don't have to touch the camera at all after everything is set.

Currently I have to push the rear AEL/AFL button to initiate.. which is ok, but the less I touch the camera the more successful my stacking macro shots will be.

Any update on this? I will be purchasing an XF to replace my DF+ next week and am very interested in the focus stacking feature. I currently use a Stackshot controller and a custom bellows system to initiate focus stacks.

Also, is it easy to lock the mirror up when capturing a focus stack? From what I understand when you press the mirror-up button the mirror stays up until you press the button again. Can this be done from C1?

I will be using a IQ150 and XF.

Phase One any updates on this?

I just ordered the XF - any other users have any feedback on the focus stacking feature?

Ulf!

thanks for the response, Another feature that would be really helpful is to be able to shorten or lengthen the time between the focus stacking shots. Although fast fast fast is nice, many times the camera is too fast for my profoto D4 packs to recharge all of the way, Especially when they are at FULL power in the studio while shooting things like jewelry that require a lot of stacking and a lot of of light.

The best way to do this right now is to place the camera in Vibration mode when you do the focus stack. in Auto mode this will generally be at a least 1 second between captures, or turn off auto vibration and the vibration delay will become the amount of time between captures. (up to 8 seconds).

BTW. Are you using cable from controller to press shutter?
In such case it probably will not work with XF.
PO announced adapter for using DF cable releases with XF, but AFAIK it still isn't available.
