XF warranty

The XF system brochure mentions a 5 year warranty with 'uptime guarantee'. What does 'uptime guarantee' mean exactly?

Hi

This is the same as the "value added" concept.
Uptime guarantee means we will ship a loan unit within 24h of establish service issue.
This applies to back, body, prism and lens.

Ah ok. For a second there I thought that '5 years uptime guarantee' meant a guaranteed uptime of five years. That would be amazing!

Yes, the 5 year uptime warranty is only for an XF IQ3 kit/system. Otherwise it is a 1 year warranty, for example if you buy just the XF body.
