Can I import media to a new folder / subfolder structure?

Currently, I have many photos using another photo organizer but would like to transfer them over to Media Pro SE. Is there a way to copy all my photos over while, at the same time, reorganize my photos by a different directory structure?

Specifically, I like my photos to be arranged on my disk by date created with year->month->date as the file directory structure. I can do this with other media software, but can Media Pro do the same?

Just bumping this thread since I haven't heard from a single user in over 2 months.

Doesn't anyone like to import their photos but, at the same time, reorganize their location on the disk in a different directory structure? I know this is possible with other software such as I can do this with Lightroom, but see no way to do this with MediaPro.

I suspect you received no answers because I think this is not possible. Media Pro does not import media into a folder. It merely imports image information into the catalog, creating references to your existing folder structure. Once the images are in the catalog, you can change your physical folder structure manually from within Media Pro (in the Catalog Folders section), but that's a separate manual process.

If you want to change your folder structure "on the fly" as you describe then I suspect you will have to use another program. Then import the images into the MP catalog, which will see your new structure.
