Is it possible/necessary to update Phase One Lens Firmwares

Postby Stan102 » Tue Sep 24, 2013 2:16 am

Im trying to make sure all of the firmware on my gear is up to date. I have a 645DF and multiple LS lenses. I know you can check the firmware of an attached lens with CF 98, but I cannot seem to find any information (and i have spent a while) concerning checking the lastest lens firmwares or updating them. Im beginning to suspect this is a 'take it to the dealer' issue. Any info or links in the right direction would be helpful.

Here are my lenses and their current firmware.

28mm LS 1.26
80mm LS 1.1
110mm LS 1.14
120mm LS Macro 0.1 (is this right this seems odd, its what the DF said)
150mm LS 1.23
240mm LS 2.16

We have never produced a firmware update for an LS lens. Therefore they are all up to date.

Curious. We've updated the camera firmware and two of the lenses in our kit now don't work. 2 working lenses are Mamiya 120mm Macro and 45mm. 2 that don't work since the camera FW update are Schneider 80mm and 110mm. What I mean by that they don't work is regardless of the settings, the shutter speed is 1 second. Is this something that we can somehow fix or does the whole kit need to be sent in for FW updates or something? Tips?

Unfortunately this is not a firmware problem, but rather a hardware issue in the body where communication to the leaf shutter has been damaged. Please contact your dealer for service.
