Mamiya 645DF+ and NC401 Auto Bellows

Postby NN109526UL2 » Wed Jul 17, 2013 6:03 pm

I want to buy the NC401 Auto Bellows for the Mamiya 645DF+/180 system. I have seen them listed for the 645AF. Is there a difference between the two systems or can the NC401 Auto Bellows be used on either Mamiya body?

There are many differences between the AF and DF+. With regard to this component, however, there is no difference as it acts more like an extension tube than anything else.

I thought it might. Will the NC401 Auto Bellows work with an 80LS lens attached or will it require a focal plane lens? Can the 80LS lens be locked open and have the 645DF+ focal plane shutter activated? How is the F-stop controlled with the lens off the body? My old Nikon 35mm bellows/lenses still allowed me to operate the lens-mounted F-stop rings. The bellows unit had a dual shutter release that closed the lens ap and then activated the focal plane shutter.
