Why no long tele lenses ?

Postby NNN634863802867218057 » Mon May 27, 2013 11:44 pm

Why does P1/Schneider lens choice stops à 240mm ? LMamita used to to very wonderful 300mm (4.5AF and 2.8 manual) and 500mm APO lenses. Those lenses are useful for landscape photo and nature photo. Why stopping at 240mm ?

We're not stopping, just getting started.
The older lenses cannot unfortunately be made anymore so we are hard at work designing new Leaf Shutter lenses. The 240mm is just the start

Take your time on the advanced lenses. I'm just now getting onboard with the rest of the system and I am broke... or, as they say, I'm all in. We could use a 35mm/LS, too. I have not used the existing 28mm/LS but I am concerned that there will be a bit of barrel-shaped distortion in the image. Is there a fix for that in C1 Pro?

The distortion of the 28LS is quite nicely mapped out with automatic lens corrections in Capture One 7. Nothing to worry about there.
