P30+ file format

Postby NNN636662951870570536 » Wed Aug 01, 2018 7:10 pm

Hello everyone,

I've just came across an information regarding the file format for image. It said that IIQ RAW L means that images are saved as raw files. Anyway, although my back is being set to IIQ RAW L, images are being saved as TIF files. I don't have any option in the back's menu to choose a file format, only IIQ RAW L or S
Is this the intended format? I would have expected something like IIQ (as ARW for Sony or NEF for Nikon), and tif is - to my understanding - not a raw file.
Or has it something to do with firmware? My back is running on 3.2.6
Best regards,

Oliver

The TIF out of the P30+ is a raw file, just with a TIF extension. You can alter the file extension via the menu > Configuration > File Extension. You can also rename the existing files from .TIF to .IIQ without issue.
