P20/P25 with Hasselblad H1 and Tethered Shooting to Mac OSX

Postby johnkraus » Wed Jan 05, 2005 5:34 pm

Is tethered shooting up and running with the P20/25 and the Hasselblad H1 into C1Pro on Mac OSX? Has anyone been able to do this yet?

I'm hearing that Imacon now runs the H1 program and is requiring all other back manufacturers to submit their backs and tech specs to Imacon for certification. And Phase One et al is, understandably, resistant to this. This info might be incorrect- I hope it is!

Hopefully this is a minor issue, but it might impact on the time it will take for the H1 and P25/20 to shoot tethered.

I've just been told by Von Thomas who owns a P25 that he's been shooting tethered with H1 from Day 1, no problem. What about others of you out there?

Yep no problem teathered. 4000 images in and I can say it works fine. On my powerbook.

h1 / p25 / osx

I am using the h1 w/ the p25 back and osx. It works pretty great. I've had the back about 4 months (on a 3 year lease) and I love it but the imacon news makes me very nervous.

Phase One is continiously in close dialogue with Hasselblad, to ensure that the Hasselblad H1 and the Phase One H 101 as always
has a perfect interface. It is correct that in this process Hasselblad ( and thus Imacon gets some insight into the Phase One technology).
At Phase One we are not concerned about this.

Shooting tethred works fine, including the capture button. No problem at all. Hasselblad firmware is version 9.0.0 for the body.

I do have a problem though: how do I make a custom white balance in thetered mode? May be a stupid question, but could find how to in the documentation.

In tethered mode it is presumed that you work the camera the same way as a H-series unit. In other word, ISO settings and White balance etc is done in Capture One.
