Infrared Photography with the P25?

Postby Des1 » Wed Oct 05, 2005 12:50 pm

Good Evening,
Has anybody tried,or indeed know if it is possible to take Infrared Captures with the P25 back.

I've searched irident/maxmax/etc but no IR mods for MF backs apparent.

Suggestions on feasibility or not welcome.

Thank you,

On all Phase One camera backs a IR filter is mounted on top of the CCD.
For photographers that does IR photography all camera backs can be orderd without a IR filter and a IR filter for mounting on lens can be orderd as well for times when it is required.

Good Morning Phase,

Thank you for the prompt reply.

Fine--I now wish to take a IR assignment using my P25--how should I proceed-- will the IR LENS filter suffice or does the back need factory modification-Hmm-don't think this is viable allowing for my geographical position.

Is the IR filter user removable?

Grateful thanks,

IR filter has to be removed at Phase One for warrenty reasons.
If filter is removed focus will also change slightly so if filer is removed by Phase One we also refocus the back.
Lens IR filter I was refering to will then be used for \"normal\" images.

Good Day Ulf,

For the sake of the exercise it is certainly not warranted the trouble to change the backs filter.

I have found an interesting tutorial on replicating the IR \"look\" from a Digital File and after some experimenting it is indeed very close.

I may with further testing get the effect within striking distance to appease my Client, failing that to use IR film-if still available .

Thanking you for the Prompt replies and kind Regards
