BATTERY GRIP for PHASE ONE 645 CAMERA _ WHATEVER HAPPENED?

Postby NN888995 » Mon Sep 14, 2009 10:12 pm

Hello,

I was wondering what happened to the battery grip for phase one camera, that should be the solution to the battery sucking problem this camera suffers from?

Is this another thing we should forget about? How is Phase one going to handle the fact that a $5,000 camera is plagued with such a lame flaw???

Buy it from Mamiya, as the P1 is a Mamiya anyway.

To Peter4:

Really, I thought P645 was a Bronica????? That explains it!
I will call Mamiya tomorrow and order one!! Gee, Thanks Peter4.
Oh, but wait! Mamiya hasn't come up with one! And that means that Phase One
doesn't have one either, because they are the same camera, right, Peter4?!

Even though they have been promising one for over a year! But I know what they are
thinking: who cares our $5000 cameras are faulty, we are coming up with another
$5000 camera that those suckers will buy, now that we know they are stupid enough
to spend tens of thousands of dollars on gear that is less reliable than Russian cameras.
We will actually team up with some ex-Russians and sell lenses to those same idiots
for $4000, the same ones ex-Russians were selling for less than $400!

Now, Peter4, who has bratwust for brains here, tell us, enlighten us, if you please!

Dear Milos2,

I do NOT use the P1/Mamiya and therefore I do NOT check what is available and what not.
It was just a hint, not more.

On the strategy for Lenses and Co. I do not write any comment here.
I use the Hy6 and have my own problems with the Firmware and Service from Sinar and what I hear from Hasselblad users is similar to your comment.

Regards
Peter

The vertical grip was first shown last year on PhotoKina and will not be ready until next year, this is primary since the vertical grip will not just be dumb battery container but instead contain a lot of technical features some which is yet to be announced.

As for the place to ask for this, this is a user to user forum and it would probably be better to ask Phase One direct.
