Postby NNN634663079951078536 » Fri Mar 02, 2012 10:42 pm

I have 645AF and have not using it for 10 years. What do I need to do to convert to digitally in able to use with any digital back or PhaseOne.
Could someone give me advice pls.
Thanks,

Hi

The question is if this is a Phase One AF which corresponds to a Mamiya 645AFDIII
If this is the case you will need firmware 1.5 in order to work with the newest back (IQ series, P65+ and P40+)
With older backs it is advisable but not required.

If you have a Mamiya 645AF then it is simply a no go since the electronics does no support communication with a digital back.

So can I convert from 645AF to 645AFDIII then I can use with the PhaseOne back right?

Yes, if you where referring to Mamiya branded body then AFDIII would work with any Phase One back.
You might want to take the step all the way up to DF in order to have compatibility with leaf shutter lenses.

This is a different camera, so contact your local Phase One or Mamiya dealer for pricing and purchase.
