mirror up

Postby rollo » Mon Sep 19, 2011 11:30 am

I'm sorry for my poor english...

I have to take several pictures in a short time for hdr bracketing with Phase oNe 645 AF. I don't like that each time the the mirror will drop down after a shot. Will be tere a way to lock the mirror for the whole time?

Greetings Ralf

Hi Ralf,

No worries, your english is fine. :)

I don't really use the mirror lock mode all that much, but from what I gather you can use the bracketing option with mirror lockup. If you have a routine of taking your HDR shots with a fixed stop distance between the shots, you can try to run a multi shot bracket with the mirror locked up. Custom function C-32 talks about multi-exposure. Page 48 of the manual speaks about a custom function for mirror lockup length, but I didn't find that in the overview:

Thank you Hillie,
but i think phaseone isn't able to write new documentation about their products. the discription of the manual is written in 2009... Our Camera have the newest firmware.. without this function and it seems bracketing sequence is disabled too...
the complete C-32 isn't available.

Im waiting for better times

Custom Function 32 is only available when shooting film on the AF body.
